Signatures
A signature is the block of text under your emails: name, contact details, for companies the mandatory particulars. In YouniqMail you create as many as you like and decide per account which one goes under new mail automatically.
Create a signature
Section titled “Create a signature”- Open Settings → Compose → Signatures.
- Add signature, give it a name.
- Write the content, with the same formatting as in the editor, including links and images.
- Save.
The name is only for you to tell them apart (“Business”, “Private”, “Short”) and never appears in the email.
Assign as default
Section titled “Assign as default”In the Default signatures section of the same page you link accounts to signatures: for each account you pick which signature new mail gets automatically, or None.
Sender addresses (aliases) can carry their
own Default signature too. If billing@ needs different
particulars than hello@, that is exactly where you set it. If you
pick nothing for the alias, Account default applies, meaning the
account’s signature.
Switching while writing
Section titled “Switching while writing”The assigned signature is just the starting value. In the compose window it sits as a section of its own between your text and the quoted conversation. There you can edit it directly for this one mail. Via the Signature: picker next to the sender you choose a different one, or none at all with None. If you switch the sender, the signature switches with it automatically, even if you picked a different one before.
Take along and back up
Section titled “Take along and back up”Via Export and Import on the signatures page, signatures move between installations as a JSON file. Which signature is assigned to which account is not carried over. The full backup includes signatures along with their assignments.
